Call for Entries
Dear Filmmakers,
We are excited to announce the call for entries for the iAfrica Film Festival 2027, a celebration of African cinema and storytelling. Organized by Yangambi, the iAfrica Film Festival aims to showcase the richness, diversity, and creativity of African filmmaking talent.
We invite filmmakers from across the African continent and the diaspora to submit their work for consideration. Whether you’re a seasoned filmmaker or an emerging talent, we welcome your submissions in various categories, including feature films, documentaries, short films, animations, and experimental films.
Submission Guidelines
Eligibility
Films must be directed or co-directed by individuals of African descent or explore themes related to the African continent or its diaspora.
Completion Date
Films submitted for consideration must have been completed after January 1, 2027.
Language
Films may be submitted in any language but must include English subtitles if the original language is not English.
Genres
We accept films of all genres, including but not limited to drama, comedy, romance, thriller, horror, and science fiction.
Duration
There are no specific duration requirements. Short films, feature-length films, and everything in between are welcome.
Submission Format
Please submit your film digitally via an online screener link. We do not accept physical screeners.
Submission Fee
There is no submission fee for entering your film into consideration.
Our programming team will review all submitted films carefully. Selected films will be notified via email by 1 June 2027.
