Through African Eyes!

iAfrica Film Festival 2026

10 Years of Celebrating African Cinema

For the past ten years, the iAfrica Film Festival, organised by Stichting Yangambi, has been a leading platform for showcasing the richness, diversity, and creativity of African cinema. Guided by the theme “Through African Eyes!”, the festival invites audiences to experience Africa through the perspectives of African filmmakers sharing authentic stories that challenge stereotypes, inspire dialogue, and celebrate the continent’s many realities.

More than a film festival, iAfrica is a cultural platform that amplifies African voices and creates meaningful connections between Africa, its diaspora, and audiences around the world. Each edition presents carefully curated feature films, documentaries, short films, filmmaker conversations, and cultural events that highlight the power of storytelling to foster understanding and social change.

Founded by Dady Kiyangi and Angélique Mbundu, the festival has grown into an internationally recognised celebration of contemporary African cinema. As we celebrate our 10th anniversary in 2026, we honour a decade of unforgettable stories, visionary filmmakers, and thousands of visitors who have joined us in discovering Africa through African eyes.

Join us in celebrating 10 years of African cinema and discover the continent through the eyes of its own storytellers.
