We are excited to announce the call for entries for the iAfrica Film Festival 2027, a celebration of African cinema and storytelling. Organized by Yangambi, the iAfrica Film Festival aims to showcase the richness, diversity, and creativity of African filmmaking talent.<\/p>\n

We invite filmmakers from across the African continent and the diaspora to submit their work for consideration. Whether you\u2019re a seasoned filmmaker or an emerging talent, we welcome your submissions in various categories, including feature films, documentaries, short films, animations, and experimental films.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t<\/div>\n\n\t

Submission Guidelines<\/h2>\n

\n

Eligibility<\/h3>\n

Films must be directed or co-directed by individuals of African descent or explore themes related to the African continent or its diaspora.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

Completion Date<\/h3>\n

Films submitted for consideration must have been completed after January 1, 2027.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

\n

Language<\/h3>\n

Films may be submitted in any language but must include English subtitles if the original language is not English.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

\n

Genres<\/h3>\n

We accept films of all genres, including but not limited to drama, comedy, romance, thriller, horror, and science fiction.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

\n

Duration<\/h3>\n

There are no specific duration requirements. Short films, feature-length films, and everything in between are welcome.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

\n

Submission Format<\/h3>\n

Please submit your film digitally via an online screener link. We do not accept physical screeners.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

\n

Submission Fee<\/h3>\n

There is no submission fee for entering your film into consideration.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/section>\n\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t<\/div>\n\n\t

Selection Process,<\/div>\n

Our programming team will review all submitted films carefully. Selected films will be notified via email by 1 June 2027.<\/p>\n
